Image extraction problem

Hi,

We’ve been a customer of the Full-text RSS product for a number of years and it’s been fantastic. Thanks for the great work.

We’ve encountered a problem extracting images from this website: https://www.sowetanlive.co.za, using their RSS feeds: https://www.sowetanlive.co.za/rss-feeds/.

For example this RSS feed: https://sowetanlive.co.za/rss/?publication=sowetan-live using the your public service does not return images: http://fivefilters.org/content-only/.

Would appreciate any guidance on how we can configure our Full-text RSS software to pick up images.

Hi there, we’ve created a site config file for this site. Should resolve the image issue. If you’re running the self-hosted version, you can update the site config files and the new rules should extract content properly from the site. You can see the new site config file here https://github.com/fivefilters/ftr-site-config/blob/master/sowetanlive.co.za.txt

If you’re using the hosted version, the update will be live very shortly.
