Feature request to add an (advanced) field to the settings screen, so I add the CSS to select an image.
Use case:
In 90% of the case I can obtain the image for the page the url points to. For overview pages that point to URLs that are behind a paywall this would be quite useful!)
Hi Rene, we do want to offer image support in a future update. What would be useful for you, the selected image returned in the <description>
(above any extracted description text) or in a separate enclosure element? (Or perhaps both?)
Personal preference: Iād like to be able to select it as a separate āenclosureā element (as in the RSS 2.0 spec) https://validator.w3.org/feed/docs/rss2.html
Hi Rene,
Just a note to say weāve now added support for an item image selector in Feed Creator.
The image URL is used in three places in the feed output: inserted into a media:content element, an <atom:link rel=āenclosureā> element, and a regular element inside a content:encoded element.
In the JSON output, the image URL will be included in a property with the name āimageā.
Thanks! Nicely implemented, very versatileā¦
