Extract first link in Feed RSS Description

I am currently using the installed version of Full-Text

When processing a feed like:
https://groups.google.com/forum/feed/alt.sports.baseball.chicago-cubs/msgs/rss.xml?num=15

I would like to pull the first link in the portion of the feed for further article extraction in the combined feed.

Is this possible?

TIA,
Joe

Hi Joe, I can’t see a link in any of the description elements in that feed. Can you give me an example of what you can see?

This would be an example item:

Oh, I see. We can’t do anything with the example you’ve posted. But if the same URL was included as a link () you’d be able to create a site config file with single_page_link_in_feed to target it. See http://help.fivefilters.org/customer/portal/articles/223153-site-patterns
