EPUB stopped working with Google Play Books

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Push to Kindle: https://carl.flax.ie/dothingstellpeople.html
  2. Download epub
  3. upload to Google Play Books

Actual output:

“Processing” for a couple of minutes and get the “Processing Failed” message.

Expected output:

Finish processing in a few seconds.

Workaround

Rebuild the epub using Calibre and upload to Google Play Books.

We’ve received a lot of reports about this. We’re working on fix which should be out today. Will update again here soon.

This should now be fixed. Please let us know if you still experience any issues with EPUB files.
